Fun With Kendra

Kendra started preschool again this week. This is her third year with this preschool (and Jared went the 2 years before that) so she feels right at home there. Unfortunately, she is obsessed with being a cat. She has told all the teachers that she has changed her name and they are now to call her Kitty. (Kitty because it starts with a "K", cat doesn't work because it starts with "C". It has worked because the papers she brings home all say "Kitty" instead of her name.

The Zoo is offering free admission on Wednesdays this month so yesterday, as soon as Kendra was out of school, we headed to the zoo for a couple of hours. It was a delightful afternoon. She was well-behaved and fun to be with. They have a new water play area for little kids so she played there for a long time. She was so exhausted from a busy day that she fell asleep in the car on the way home (that NEVER happens unless she is sick). Taking a ride on the train - much better than walking in the heat all afternoon!

She found tiny snails in the flower beds at the water park. They were so small that I thought they were just little pebbles --until one came out of its shell and started to slither away!
