Eagle Project

Joshua's Eagle Scout project was held on Sept 4th (also our anniversary).  He did a fantastic job and the project was a success.  The school was constructed over the summer.  They didn't have access to the building until less than a week before school was to start.  They were all in a mad rush to get everything ready for school to begin.  Josh's project was very helpful in getting things ready for the students' arrival.  Great Job Josh!!!
A classroom before... look, no desks!
When the project began, there were desks, chairs,
and table stacked throughout the multi-purpose room.
After... all the classtooms had enough desks and chairs for every student.
Sepeti working on desks.
Cabinets needed to be assembled.
Some of the desks were defective.
Here, Josh is showing these young men how to take it
apart and re-assemble it so that it can be used in the classroom.
More cabinets to be assembled.
Cabinet doors were a challenge to get on.
There were about 30 lunch room tables to be assembled.
More tables...  Bishop Hurlbut and Grant worked on this one.
Cameron and Morgan worked to assemble the podium.  The principal was thrilled!
Cambren starting on desk assembly.
Anything that couldn't be assembed that day
needed to be moved to one side of the room
and sectioned off.
Josh and Connor checking out all the work completed.
All of these chairs had to be put back into their original boxes.
Heading home at the end of a busy and productive morning!
Bekah and Jessica hung bulletin boards and
cut things out for teachers.
Another classroom complete with desks and chairs.
In the end...  We had all the tables and desks assembled.
Chairs and desks in their rooms.  The room was cleared.
Curriculum was even sorted for teachers.
